A trade unionist from Zinder defeated Niger's future president, saw the election annulled, spent fourteen years in exile and went back to prison on his return. His novel turned a priestess of Lougou into the warrior queen of a whole country. He had written « novel » on the cover, and one day, in front of a tape recorder, he said what he had invented.
